Posters for Parks
Posters for Parks is an annual show featuring limited-edition posters inspired by Minneapolis Parks. The event is a joint venture of LoveMplsParks.org and the People for Parks Foundation. 50% of all profits from the show are donated to the People for Parks Foundation to protect and preserve the award-winning Minneapolis park system.
It’s A Bird… It’s A Plane…
My 2024 poster was inspired by my family’s tradition of bundling up and braving the harsh Minnesota winter in search of snowy owls in the fields around MSP. On cold days, we gather at the outdoor aircraft viewing area, hoping to catch a glimpse of these majestic birds as they burrow into the fields—or, in this case, perch atop a lamp. Bundled against the elements, we watch as their cloud-white feathers contrast beautifully with the bright blue skies, shared with their “other” frequent flyers.

Tail of the Mississippi
For the 2023 posters show I was inspired by the Mississippi River and my childhood spent fishing along it. I visualized the river as a powerful and unyielding fish; with sunlight reflecting off the water as spots, the jagged shore banks forming fins, and the booming and powerful St. Anthony Falls creating a massive tail for swimming down this powerful river. The mighty Mississippi has a tale to tell — and everyone who comes upon it: the kayakers, walkers, bikers, and runners, experiences it in their own beautiful and unique way.

Lunchtime in Loring Park
Lunchtime in the city can be a chaotic quest for all. This holds true at Loring Park, where cute, bushy-tailed critters transform into ravenous little bastards fighting for objects of nutty desire — the midday acorn. More than a meal, it’s one of nature’s most fervorous four-legged rituals.
